Make yourself at home as we head into the backyards of our very own musicians and fill them up with our unique brand of chamber music. An intimate 3-concert experience with champagne and nibbles on arrival, our 2022 Avant Gardens concerts will be an up-close and personal mash-up of sounds and sensations that will have you raving to your friends afterwards. Come and soak up some avant-garde classics alongside the newest of the new in three beautiful gardens in Sydney’s Inner West.

“It was so good to hear such beautiful music, most of which I’d never heard before. It felt such a privilege to be in everyone’s gardens – it was very generous of you to open your
own homes to us for a performance space other than the usual concert hall. I loved the informality of it, like the fact that we were all sitting on a funny mix of chairs, stools and anything else with a flat surface. The chat was nice and relaxed.”

The Avant Gardens concerts take place in the private homes of some of Ensemble Offspring’s generous supporters. Some homes may have steps, limiting wheelchair access, but ambulant or mobility-restricted attendees can enter with extra time and assistance.
