Creative Associate
Ensemble Offspring is inviting Expressions of Interest for our new Creative Associate position.
This role is designed to support an outstanding emerging artist - a performing musician, composer, sound artist or cross-disciplinary art maker - to develop artistic leadership skills within a nationally recognised contemporary music company with over 30 years of experience. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in artistic planning, creative development, project delivery and organisational sustainability, while contributing meaningfully to Ensemble Offspring’s annual artistic program.
The Creative Associate will work closely with Artistic Director Claire Edwardes and the Ensemble Offspring team across a 12-month period (with the possibility of extension), gaining insight into curatorial thinking, commissioning processes, artist development, funding applications, budget management and audience engagement strategies. The role balances structured professional development with practical leadership experience and artistic contribution.
The position is conceived as a two-way exchange: the Creative Associate gains meaningful industry experience and mentorship while contributing fresh artistic perspectives to Ensemble Offspring’s evolving program.
